Although it was possible since 1977 to walk the Annapurna circuit we decided against it because we wanted to do it without special equipment, porters and guides. We decided to fly to Jomsom, go up to Muktinath and walk back. So we bought a ticket from Pokhara to Jomsom and started on a clear and cold morning in late January.
