I arrived in Delhi on the 12th of January 1979 and stayed at the Hotel Vivek in Paharganj. Everything was new to me and even a look from the hotel window was exciting.
I stayed only a few days and travelled with a bus to Kathmandu, via Agra and Varanasi.
